    This shit is getting pretty annoying! :mad: past few months and my phone been going off like crazy, only happens during the week, nothing on weekends, 80% of calls are about student loans the other 20% collection agency, but all my bills have nothing to do with these, my phone settings are set up to only receive my phone contacts only, (unknown, blocked,) my phone doesn't answer em and I'm also signed up with Call Protect from AT&T and that works (sometimes), but just now I got a call from the Houston area saying the same thing "final notice for student loan" but the phone number was linked to a name not in my list, So i called back and they guy answered and knew nothing about calling me, WTF?!?! Anyone experiencing this??? It's annoying AF :mad:

    Also adding 60% from my area code others from elsewhere

    My tv even got into it. It shows someone calling me over that interweb telephone thingie that I dont even have! They are getting smart by using local # thinking you will pick up. The called id comes up with a name and local number. Call it back and get a message that this number is disconnected...

    I had the IRS call me a couple times. Threatening me that cops are on their way to arrest me if I didn’t pay them on the spot hahaha I’m still here and not a cop at my door l

    Not a scam today...been dealing with utility gas supplier, they typed in someone else's checking acct instead of mine. Would of been great someone else paying for my bill...bastards didnt have enough money to cover it ! Lol

    Actually once I kept the guy busy for 30 minutes just to piss him off. He wanted me to login to my AOL on my PC because there is a problem. I told him I was. After quite a while I told him I’m sorry I am on safari through my Apple Computer. He was pissed and tried to get me to login into that. I laughed at him and he cussed me out. I told him how big of a piece of shit he is and to gfys! :rofl:

    I rarely get spammed or robocalled because I block my cell number from showing, and give out my home number instead when filling out online forms and online shopping. Home phones are practically extinct but I'm still maintaining my Panasonic portables with Ooma as a backup, $4/month.

    Yep, I get them on my work phone. I like to answer those ones. I tell them “you do realize this is a government phone number don’t you?” They always apologize or hang up, or both.

    I mostly get India. I’ve had a few that were very helpful. It’s a scam calls from India that are very rude. The legitimate businesses tend to be helpful. I would still rather see those jobs over here. Hi this is Jessica from North Carolina. Lmao

    Spammers use whats called "spoof cards" in slang term it means they can dial a number and make it show any number they want on your end.. The only thing you can do is ignore or block. It is 99.9 percent ultimately traced to a foreign country. Law enforcement won't even mess with it.

    I kept getting calls about a grant...they asked if I was a upstanding person....my reply was yeah, I just got out of prison and the cops are on their way to arrest me for not paying the IRS

    Pretty much what I’ve heard. You could put yourself on the do not call list and get a app. That’s all you can really do but they will still get around it.
