The Harrop comes with a DW340 fuel pump and DW 650 injectors, a bump over the Magnuson. Harrop has a good snout design vs single bearing on the Maggie. Issue really not seen.
One reason I'd go with Harrop is the intake runner design to add water methanol or NOS. Decisions...decisions.

So if I go the Maggie route I will end up paying an extra $1K for the upgraded fuel pump & injectors and a smaller pulley. I would assume the Harrop Stage 2 got all these upgraded parts included for the listed cost, around $8K or would they also charge extra? If I don't save any money then might as well stay with the Maggie and pay the extra for the fuel pump and all that.

The Harrop COMES with upgraded DW650(guess not) injectors and DW 340 pump.
No idea what stock tune they use as it compares to Magnuson as most go aftermarket.

Edit: was looking at an older post that Viktor said it came with dw650's.

Don't forget you need to buy the Magnuson intake, only the Magnuson includes (any) intake and usually it's the default to make the MAF happy. I don't know what year your truck is but thats potentially another ~$400

Good catch. This is for my 2010 RCSB Tundra so for sure I need a new intake

SCOL is where I got my Harrop. Not sure if any places actually sell the "stage 2" as a kit.

I had them quote the SC, air box lid, and 80mm pulley. Then got my DW650s from DW direct I think.

    Then HPTuners myself for tuning.

Should only need the upper lid. SCOL, superchargersonline, will help.

The Harrop doesn’t come with injectors since you can’t purchase a pre assembled “stage 2” package anymore. If a vendor claims to be selling it as a package I’d double check their included parts list before ordering. It does come with the 340LPH pump. You essentially need the kit, 650cc or larger injectors and the magnuson (or larger) intake, and a smaller pulley as well as have a tuning solution in order. The magnuson comes with a fuel pump, smaller injectors, and a tune all of which are shitty and inadequate out of the box anyway.

I thought it came with the 650's. My bad. Looked at an older post that Viktorg made about getting stage 2 with the 650's.
    Too many options...haha

Whatever this forum told me to do
    this is correct

I got my “stage 2” by having D3 performance call the back office at harrop

it’s an “off the menu” item

    It’s just the 650’s + smaller pulley

    And

i just rolled 125k clean miles on this setup

    And

The extreme valve body is nice. It does exactly what they said it would

I think prices are rather high for a "used" supercharger. I would just pay the difference to get a brand new and warranty covered one.

That’s probably because every A-hole on marketplace wants half off of everything to feel they got a deal, so you have to list high.

I wish. No boost for me for at least 5 years I’d say. Maybe I’ll have a boosted fun car down the road.

It's not too bad on pricing for milage and comparing the Prospeed premium pricing...

So how do you buy and check a used supercharger? Kind of take the risk that everything works?

But regardless, he won't move down on price even one dollar, so is no go for me. Too much risk for such a high price. I rather pay the difference and get a brand new one with warranty and no headache.

I am sure the reality will kick in sooner or later, is the nature of unrealistic expectations :)

There's a local guy selling a Hypertech speedo module for $100, sold his truck like 3 years ago. I offered $50 as it's been for sale for over a year and I've heard of issues with HPT and the module not working together nicely.

Dude lost his mind "I know what I have". I'm like, sweet, good luck with selling it. Still for sale a year later.

Marketplace is very interesting to navigate. I can say the cheaper the item is that I have listed the less I care about selling it whatsoever. If I have something listed for $50 and someone offers me $20, sorry but I will just go throw it in the garbage. Not worth risking life and limb to sell something of minimal value to a stranger. That, and the cheaper the item the stranger the crowd you attract. Then there is the aspect of wasting my time driving 20 minutes to a public meetup, only to get there and then the person never shows up and ghosts the messages. Along these lines, this video always gives me a laugh:

I’ve bought and sold a lot on marketplace, and it really comes down to being a savvy, realistic buyer or seller with solid business sense and financial discipline. My RCSB, for example, I found it on Marketplace and negotiated it from $20K down to $15K, money wired on the spot. It was a fair and solid offer.

When I buy, I typically aim to pay around 50% of the original value if the item is halfway through its lifespan, and up to about 70% if it’s new or nearly new. Otherwise, I walk away. When I sell, I follow the same approach, and it’s worked consistently. I usually add about 10% to the asking price to leave room for negotiation. Big ticket items like cars or whatever are a bit different as far as this principle goes.

A lot of marketplace sellers are simply unrealistic about pricing, which is why their items sit unsold. Eventually, they either adjust their expectations or keep the item.

And lastly, there is a psychological factor to every individual behind every sale or buy, and knowing how to play that card and exploiting it is very very important. That's where usually you get your money worth.

Scrolling my history I have bought and sold well in excess of 100 items on there. I used to use it to make extra hobby money before having kids and when making a lot less money at work. I’d just buy items that I knew the fair price of at the time that were definitely going to sell for more than I paid. I still use it but with much more caution and particularity. Anymore I don’t have the time or patience for it, nor do I trust the general populace to not kill me over the transaction. I’ll just take some OT at work if I’m looking for an extra buck.

When I sell something, I always mark it higher than I want because they will always make an offer of less which will generally hit what I’m willing to take for it. When I buy, I go in expecting to pay what they are asking for it if it’s reasonable. Otherwise I move on. I don’t like or have time for this negotiation culture.

Please tell me more about this HPT + Hypertech module issue. I recently had the OTT stage 1 S/C tune installed and then tried to get my hypertech module to recalibrate to my new tire size and can't get it to work. Wondering if this is systematic.

I think I may have just found the answer to the hypertech problem. Found a random comment on reddit where the guy used a different application that gets loaded with the software to write the module:

    upload_2026-5-4_16-12-17.png

Sure enough, I found the SpeedoConfiguration application in my program folder (SpeedometerCalibratorExe):

It's a simpler interface. Just entered tire size to get my correction factor, read the device, then programmed the unit. Took it for a test drive and it finally actually changed the speedo. I tried a couple dozen different ways with the other application interface.
