What kind of gear or tools do you guys usually keep in your trucks?
I recently got my truck pretty close to organized for this week. I noticed how much crap I carry with me. This is just my bed. My 60 part of my rear seats are flipped up and lined with tool cases and bags also lol. Oh and I've got the crossover box full to the top.

I only keep a small tool set with the basics in my truck along with a tow strap, jumper cables and that kind of stuff. I work in a not so great part of town and don't want to get ripped off when I'm away from my truck. But when I'm doing flooring (my second job) I end up filling my whole bed.

I used to have the same worry but my bed cover has given me a false sense of security. All of my tool boxes have a Milwaukee tick in it also. Last year when I had no cover I'd chain everything together. My bed usual gets worse when we've got alot to do at once. I only carry what I need for the given task at hand but then I leave it in there and it turns into a huge mess of 5 circulars saws and nails guns tangled together with ratchet straps. I've made it a week so far with it staying still organized.
Those hardwood flooring guys go fast as hell. I can't come close to the same speed and quality.
I see you've got the best color of chop saw and radio. I use alot of yellow tools myself.

When you get paid by the square foot speed is key!
The Dewalt chop saw, table saw, and radio are essential parts of the operation. I love their tools. Eventually I plan on getting a weathergaurd toolbox so I can carry more tools and not be as concerned about security. I was gonna get a tonneau cover, but I have my dog kennels in the bed of my truck so often that it wouldn't make a whole lot of sense.

They're awesome tools and they're not overpriced. These are most of my cordless tools I keep in the truck. I just picked up a few of them the clean ones are new LOL.

I love my crossover tool box I bought it last year at a very good price. I never liked truck tool boxes till I actually got one. My toolbox is just a cheap Northern Tool Box. Weathergaurd makes some really good stuff. I've been looking at getting their 24 inch model. I didn't been think I'd like the toolbox but it kicks ass to have all random stuff one might need.

I've had so many tools grow legs and walk away. It's just about keeping the honest man honest. Also the less you look like a work truck the less likely people try and take a look at anything that's not nailed down

That 6 1/2in circular saw is next on my list! I think the crossover toolbox would be perfect for my needs. I'm glad to hear a cheaper box is working out for you. I can't decide if I want to pony up for the weathergaurd or go with a cheaper option.

I've been eyeing that saw for a year now home depot had this combo kit for the saw, a multi tool, tough box, and a brushless hammer drill for 300. Then I ended up buying more tough boxes, it's a problem lol.
The cheap box works great as a box. I don't expect it to stop anyone I keep mostly tools that I wouldn't be to pissed if they were stolen. Most thieves want something quick to grab like power tools. Most of my heavy boxes are in the crossover box.
For security I'd go either weatherguard, Billy box, or high way products. Their box designs look the best for security in my opinion.
I'd search Craigslist for a used one that's where I found mine.

Nice. I have been looking on CL but can only find chrome boxes. I'm holding out for a nice lo pro black powdercoat box.

I bought the first black box I saw that wasn't plastic I did have to re paint it though. I originally wanted a low profile one too. But I'm glad I got the regular size one. It's got no room left lol.
