    Hey all,

Some of you may have seen the 3D printed part I’ve been making for the Alibaba 2nd gen TRD Pro style grille (https://www.tundras.com/threads/3d-...en-alibaba-trd-pro-grille.93463/#post-2358721).

I was recently approached by @TundraCoast asking if it would fit the OEM 2.5 gen TRD Pro grille for trucks without TSS. The answer is no, but it got me thinking about taking a stab at designing one for your trucks as well.

Here’s the rub: I don’t have a 2.5 gen TRD Pro grille to prototype it on, so I will need to buy one (unless anyone has a broken one they’d sell on the cheap). I’m willing to make this investment, and take the time to design the insert, but I was hoping to gauge interest in the community for a part like this before I do so.

I’ve been selling the 2nd gen insert for $50 shipped. This is a hobby for me, not a major source of income, I just happen to have some CAD skills, a 3D printer, and the desire to figure out things like this from time to time.

*note: I doubt this part will work for trucks with TSS, so this will just be for earlier trucks that have retrofitted the later style TRD Pro grille.

Please chime in if this is something you would be interested in purchasing once it’s ready.

I can say I was an early adopter of this grill on my 2nd gen. I can personally vouch for quality and attention to detail. IMO it’s a must have for these grills!

Rob, do you think you could 3D print with just the garnish piece?

In order to make the grille “nubs” line up (take a look at my 2nd gen garnish) I really need the grille to prototype it. I suppose I could just sell the grille when I’m done with it. I’ll probably order one, stay tuned. Thanks for the interest everyone!

Ok, I caved. Grille is headed my way, give me a bit to see what I can come up with, and I’ll start taking pre-orders.

Ok I need this for my 2nd gen......I've had my grill on for over a year and love it....but the glossy plate looks so out of place on it.

That grille will sell right away on the forum with the upgraded garnish.

As a side note; It’s curious why the Gen 2 pro grills even had the sensor garnish in the first place. That generation has no TSS so why break up the clean lines??

Thanks! I’m pretty happy with the second gen version. I think I should be able to come up with something equal for the 2.5 gen’ers.
