I am new to this site. I was wondering what all mods i could do to get a little better gas mileage. I have a 08 tundra sr5 4.7L. Dose exhaust system, cold air intake, and tunners really help on gas mileage? Thanks for everyones help in advance.

I don't think there is much you can do to save gas, other than staying out of rush traffic and keep a light foot on it when you are on the highway.
All the exhaust, intake etc. might show some savings, but if you spend say $1,000 on those, how long before you recoup that at 0.5 mpg better mileage?

I do believe you will spend more money trying to get better mileage and never see the return.

I no longer daily drive trucks due to spending way to much on fuel, and some other reasons.

H/T tires in stock size and go easy on the right foot.

That’s the only real way to maximize mpg on these trucks.

ninjajay is correct. The only way to attempt to keep the MPG under control is to control your right foot but these trucks are just so damn fun to play around in. I keep the MPG display on all the time. It helps a little.....sometimes, but not too much. I just take the hit on fuel and love driving my truck.
