I figured out how to feel better about gas mileage. Leave the temperature and time on the display and only pay attention to the dial. It actually doesn't change anything but how you feel.

Yep. If you never pay attention to it, it won’t bother you.

Gas mileage doesn't actually bother me so far, which blows my mind since I came from a hybrid vehicle.....I just love that V8 paired with the TRD dual. I'm pretty sure I average 12-13 tops, but don't worry about it. Trusty V8, 6 speeds beat so many other things in the car industry as they rarely have problems. I'll take that all day.

3” lift, black step bars, aftermarket wheels, LT305/55R20 was this way when I brought it.
I am getting 40-60 miles per gallon in my Tundra in my Dreams. Just loving each time I drive it; getting ready for vacation to Missouri at the end of June. I really don’t think about it it is what it is. If it was really that bad I would drive a smart car. (I work 2 miles from work so a tank on gas last 1 -1/2 - 2 weeks) so vacation will be about 5- tanks give or take

Yeah. I've done everything I can to increase MPG. larger tires for more distance per rotation, lift for more airflow underneath (less road weight), roof racks for turbulent airflow on top (less road weight). Hydrogen in the tires for buoyancy, (less road weight). The drawback is 500 yard no open flames around my house. I get about 100 MPG city

For those concerned about MPGs with your Tundra here's an alternative for you.

Gas mileage: When the gas gauge shows there is half a tank remaining, I buy more gas.

Prior to my 18 Tundra, I had a 16 Tacoma, and both trucks have the same gas mileage meter available on the front display. In the Tacoma, you could occasionally get the meter up towards 30 mpg if you were slowly cruising on a quiet country road. When I got my Tundra, I just chuckled that the same meter is present and it also goes up to 30 mpg. So yeah, I don't look at my mpg's anymore, and I'm too in love with my truck to care even if I did.
