So just recently purchased a Genie garage door opener model 3053 belt driven, installed by HD tech, 3 months worked great, then the issue, having to hold down wall button to close, spoke with Genie support they say mother board, they send me new one, installed, now, no power, all wires in same place as old one, they send me new sensors, nothing, getting fed up, taking back to HD where it was purchased, I see Chamberlain, what you guys running in your Man Cave garages for a garage door opener???

Probably against the grain here but I'm running the now discontinued Ryobi and I love it except for the app (because of legality).

    Too many…scratch that…not done yet.
Brotha...I had the exact same issue!

Tried having a tech fix it once. Then changed to Lift master last year.
The guy that installed it also greased the door rollers with a Zep brand spray. Slicker than hen shit, and made the door as smoothe as brand new.

Well, took apart the garage door opener and took back to HD. They credited back to my card after proper paper work was sent to Genie. Got the next upgrade Genie screw drive, so far so good, a bit faster than the belt driven one

    Chamberlain is Liftmasters DIY line.
Both are very good. Think they make Craftsman too.
Had nothing but Liftmasters over the years with no issues except when they were really old.
