Calling Gainesville home for a couple of weeks. Suggestions welcome of what to do, where to eat and most important where to drink.
    Thanks in advance!

I used to travel to the Gainesville (Alachua) area on business and always stayed at the Hampton just off 43rd street and the Gators campus(if memory serves correct). There are a number of restaurants/watering holes in the area. Not too exotic, but I always liked the Texas Roadhouse across from the Hampton.. Beautiful college ladies, cold beer, and good food.....a man could do worse.

I'm in the Hampton down town off 1st street. I'm a fan of cold beer and ladies! Got in late last night and the only open watering hole was The Top off university. Cold beer and good food but NO ladies.

    Thanks Ron

My condolences to you for being surrounded by a bunch of jort wearing lizard fans. Even being there for a day could have a serious impact on your IQ.

Snag one of these and wear it around while you're there!
