Noob here! Just picked up a 04 limited. The little panel door covering my fuses is missing. I assume it had a diagram on it telling me what's what.

My stock stereo is dead. I was wondering if anyone knows which fuse it is? Or where I can find a fuse diagram (if that's what you call it)?

Thanks in advance for sharing your knowledge with me.

What cab type? 4WD or 2WD? Only asking because this will vary your fuse layout.

There are a few different fuse blocks in these trucks over the years. Here's my '06 access cab 4WD, which may or may not be the same. I believe radio is either tied to GAUGE or ACC

I've been hunting for one of those yellow 02a fuses in the top left for a few years now. That and the blue 51a fuse in the bottom right. If you find one, lmk.

It's probably just a spare or blank. The manual separates based on cab type.

Wow! Thanks!! I need to get a manual for this thing

    It is 4wd. Access cab.

The fuse is fine, but it looks like someone Mickey moused the wires "installing" a backup camera and monitor. I suspect that's the issue.

Just trying to figure out how to remove one plastic screw/clip, near the passenger's feet, to pull the center console to get access. I'm guessing that's the way to go about this (repairing the wiring). It was in my 3rd gen 4runner.

Thanks again! That information helped a lot!!

@des2mtn has you covered on Owners Manual.

Online 2004 Factory Service Manual(FSM) are hard to come by and while 03 FSM helps to some degree, there are quite a few differences in 03 to 04.

What might come in handy for your "Mickey moused" wires is the 04 Electrical Wiring Diagrams(EWD)....Ultimate TUNDRA Wiring Diagrams Collection | Toyota Tundra Forum (tundras.com)

Would the below be the clip ?
If so, what you have to do is hold the outer ring with 1 finger of 1 hand as you somewhat gently unscrew with phillips. It only takes barely a 1/4 turn for it to rotate outwards, it does not totally screw out.

I was shocked the 2004 paperback FSM copies in the 1st gen Marketplace lasted as long as they did without a buyer!

@Slow Logan sorry about your wiring predicament. Just know you're not the 1st, won't be the last. Seems like many of us are cleaning up after a previous owner's stupidity/hackery. Good on ya for getting your hands dirty and getting it done!
