    Hello Tundra Peeps !!

This is my first post. For starters, I just traded in my first love, 2014 DCSB Tacoma for my new beauty, 2021 Tundra Platinum. With a wife, 2 kids, 2 dogs, and a love for the outdoors, we wanted more room and towing power. Stoked to be a part of the Tundra Fam !!

I'm looking for a full rack that goes across the Cab AND Topper... as in one big rack.

    Any ideas?

pics are old my Tacoma, new Tundra, and a random of a larger rack on a 4Runner (not mine).

    Welcome to the community!

Do you off road your Tundra? If you do, I would not recommend a single full length platform rack with a topper.

Tundras have a C channel rear frame that is designed to flex. As a result, the bed will flex very differently from the cab. If you have one solid platform across the canopy and cab it will eventually flex in a way that damages something.

A better option is a combination from a company like Prinsu with a cab rack and a Toprack on the canopy. They will be the same height but allow for independent flex.

As a side note, if you put a boat like a canoe and lash it to a crossbar on the cab and canopy it wont be a problem. It’s not the same as a single rigid platform that is permanently bolted down.

Welcome from Colorado. As mentioned above, check out Rhino Rack. Rhino is located just down the road from me and been to their showroom more than a few times. Great people. One of their Tundras has their full rack system parked out front all the time. Quite impressive.

Thanks for the feedback. This will be my first platform rack and it makes total sense (now) that they should not connect. Appreciate the advice.

I have the Prinsu cab and shell rack setup and really like it. I use it for gear, canoes, and occasionally lumber.

I have a Thule TracRac and am amazed at how much the bed can flex compared to the cab. I would not do a full-length rack.
