I wonder how long it will be before we read about the drill motor igniting the gasoline and the rest of California bursting into flames.

I was thinking the same thing. True enough, the tank is plastic but the drill motor could ignite gas very easily. I suppose he is fortunate that the idiots didn't set his truck on fire. I guess they could have used a hand drill but that would call for using some intelligence on their part.

My guess is they were smoking a cigarette while drilling and just happened to get lucky.

That's F***ed up! It's pushing the gas tank skid higher on the mod list.

If they're drilling low enough in the tank, and it looks like they are, the gas wont ignite. If they did it above the gas level then there's a possibility of a premature Fourth of July explosion. It's the fumes that are explosive.

Love to waterboard then string these thieves up by their balls and let them drip dry in below freezing temps.

Instead of smacking thiefs on the back of the hand and turning them loose. They should have a hand chopped off and a big T branded into their fore head so we can easily identify the low lifes. Nothing lower than a thief

Another commuter car win. Trucks are easy targets, and a portable drill and hole saw make quick work of this.

We have had some local business owners that have actually shot gas theives, and were not prosecuted.

I saw the title and felt so superior because I just bought a locking gas cap today. Then I found out they drilled the tank, wtf.

I asked a San Antonio police officer at my gym what vehicles thieves target the most. He said anything with a NRA or gun related sticker. Because they like to steal firearms. Unfortunately thieves will go after anything with a monetary value.

    Exactly.

Same with political stickers, team stickers, etc.

I might put a CRAWL sticker on my truck since it is my favorite magazine...and it is obvious when towing what I like to do.
