Hop in after work fire it up fuel light is on
It was at 3/4 of a tank when I parked it...

No leaks ...cap is tight... I already tried a battery disconnect to reset no dice

the gauge will go up and then drop to empty slowly here and there triggering the low fuel light.

    Anyone had this issue?

Could be a faulty fuel sending unit, or the connection could be dirty or corroded. I just replaced my fuel pump and all my connections were caked in mud from an adventure earlier this year, even though my undercarriage is clean, there was probably 20lbs of dried mud on top of my fuel tank. Maybe a mouse chewed the wires as well, or they could have rubbed on something causing a short. I had a mouse chew my wires that allow me to shift from park while I was at work one day, had to depress the little button everytime till I fixed it. I'd inspect the wiring first (unless it's a fuse or relay issue, If a relay is even present for that). Someone else may chime in with other ideas

Did you figure out what it was? My truck began doing the same thing recently.
