I did post it on there. It’s getting a lot of views/saves for sure.

You’re just jealous of my plush, yet utilitarian garage surfaces.

It's funny to me to see all the posts and anticipation over the 'Tundra Raptor Killer' that folks are all salivating to pay $100k+ for; yet here is an example of a Tundra that would cost someone 1/3 of the price; still last longer than anything being produced right now; and probably outperform any 1/2 ton out there... :notsure:

Sure, the T-Rex and Raptor R might give someone a slight edge in performance, but reliability ain't even close... :burnrubber:

Maybe it's time for a video!!!

Exactly and this is the route I took with my 2021 when I realized how ugly and POS the turd gen was. On Nov 2023 I paid 38K for a brand new 2021 and slapped a Magnuson 2650 on top of it for $10K, so a grand total of $48K for a beautiful truck. I plan to take the same route with my RCSB and probably go the Harrop Stage 2 route, still debating. Money has never been an issue for me but I am cheap as fock and ain't gonna pay $70k+ for a turd gen nor $100k+ for a Raptor or what have you.

Whoever buys this truck is a steal honestly. I would if I didn't have the RCSB project.

I’ll get some TuRD Hammer decals for the bedsides and it will be gone by this evening.

You know, it’s kind of sad that not once have I done any gnarly burnouts and here I am selling it. For a supercharged rig, I’ve been quite easy on it.

Why not have your wife/kids/dog drive separately? We do, and honestly, it's better this way. Gives me more time to drive slowly, get setup, etc.

Someone is supposed to be checking it out tomorrow. Lots of interest, but not that many serious people yet. That’s ok, not in a massive rush. Today has only been a week.

We could but we don’t really love that idea. Half the fun of vacation is traveling together. Our other ride is a 2nd gen sequoia, so then we have 2 gas guzzlers on one trip. Even without them in the truck I’d still be over payload based on prior cat scale visits. We have a 32’ trailer, and frankly that’s a bit long for any half ton and their shorter wheelbase. Been getting by while also realizing it’s not optimal.

Seems like a good one to satisfy the wife's desire for some creature comforts but it's also small enough to not encourage you to stay inside the whole time.

A good friend of mine pulls the same camper with a 2016 5.7L Tundra. They camp all over Tennessee and the gulf coast. They have four kids and shopped around until they found a front bench seat SR5. (I am so jealous.)

BTW, I have told four of my friends about your truck, @Silver17!

There is something within me that just said out loud it would be perfectly acceptable for me to buy this truck even though it’s out of my budget. I saw it a week or two ago and NEVER thought it would make it this long.

Edit:not that you probably count.. but if you did, what kinda mpg do you get?

It’s totally acceptable. Sacrifice your budget elsewhere. :D MPG is the same as stock honestly. Anywhere from 12-16 depending on temperature, season, speed and idle time.

But yes it’s been a strange selling experience for me so far. It’s something people seem to want but no one is making a meaningful step to purchase it. One minute people want me to pick them up from the airport if they fly across the country, and the next I stop hearing from them. 10 messages one day, 0 messages the next. I’m living in limbo, but I’m not sad to keep it around a while longer either.

Well it’s no doubt it will sell, I’m in Michigan so I can’t just pop over for a quick look myself. But the tundras here all looks like they’ve been beaten to shit. Seen several so far. Once I set a true budget, (after cutting the 3 month old off formula) I’ll know if I could even remotely afford it.

It will sale no worries. Is all about chemistry. 99% of people just talk smack but when it comes to slapping that wallet out they all chicken out. Is natural I guess. The right buyer will come along no worries. You will know when the right buyer shows up.

Had mine for sale last year, got 17 responses even though I knew I was overpriced...no actual buyers then out of the blue a call from one of the original people I talked to...still no sale yet but we are within 1500 bucks.
I'm in the same position with payload but what do you replace it with All the diesel trucks seem to have problems.

I don’t want to risk a diesel so I’m just giving up a lot of power and going with a gas HD. I’m sure it won’t be as reliable, but I only drive 6-7k a year so chances are it will still last well enough.

Pricing modified trucks is tricky. I know I’m in a fair range though as everywhere I post on FB I don’t get any “laughing emojis” or heckling, it’s mostly well received. One comment went as far as to say it was severely underpriced. :notsure:

Bump - added a couple frequently requested photos. Yes, adults do fit in the back of a DC comfortably.
