I'm new to the party here specifically for this mod. This was mentioned on another forum, and am I able to get in on this?

OK Gents, We have our 10 buyers (listed below). Now it's time to proceed to the next steps; confirmation and ordering.

If you have changed your mind up to this point, no harm, no foul. Just let me know. If you are definitely in, then I need to know that as well. I will send the group a PM with payment instructions. Once I have the payments confirmed, I'll hit 'send' on the parts order and we'll get this underway.

I belong to another forum, and the topic of a front camera cam up. One of the members there pointed me to this thread, and here I am. Ready for another mod :) This Tundra has been a serious and expensive project. Guess it's my mid-life crisis

@pats_fan, thanks for your interest in the FRAC harness. I limited this first buy to 10 units because this is the first mass build of the harness that I am doing and I have done my parts pre-orders and my build-time scheduling based on 10 units.

I will be happy to add you to a stand-by list so that if one of the original 10 back out, you'll get one in this order. If all 10 guys make payment, then you will be first on the list for my second group order which I anticipate will be open sometime in July.

    Let me know.

@SMILE You are the only one I haven't heard from since the list was filled. Do you still want to purchase the FRAC harness? Please let me know. I have others on the standby list.

Had a couple boxes of parts arrive yesterday. Still 10 - 14 days out on a couple items, but I'll have enough to start the fab process this weekend!

Sounds like a great way to spend your "weekend". Payment received. Thank you! Thanks to all of you for prompt payments and good communications. I was afraid a group buy activity would be painful to deal with. But you guys showed again what a great group we have on this forum.

I assume this will work with the basic radio? I don't have the Nav so don't really need the GPS bypass, 2015 Tundra SR5.
I must have over looked the price. I would be very interested in having a front camera.

I have been trying to find a better after market nav radio, but don't want to loose the vehicle information and settings./

@TundraTex do you have a front camera to recommend? I can't use your camera because I have a pro grill so no Toyota emblem. I want one that has a very wide view ~170-180 degrees so I can see around corners and see how close my bumper is when parking head in. I been searching on Amazon but don't know which ones are good or not.

I don't have any specific recommendations.

Search for universal front camera on Amazon and you will get a lot of options. When I was looking for my camera I had a hard time deciding on what I wanted. The nice thing about buying on amazon is an easy return process if you don't like it.

Make sure the cam you get is for forward use. Rear cameras reverse the image and that would mess with your brain if you installed it in front.

Probably not the answer you were looking for, but there are so many options it's hard to pick one. Now you know why I left the camera decision up to the buyer!

OK gents. Here's the final ordered list for FRAC Group Buy #1

    1 @claptrap PAID
    2 @BlueBottle PAID
    3 @Skippy PAID
    4 @PMG PAID
    5 @porkitt PAID
    6 @Scpringle PAID
    7 @MikeyMTBs PAID
    8 @payyourtoll PAID
    9 @SMILE PAID
    10 @Coolhardy PAID

Parts are trickling in and fab is under way. Now is a good time to buy your camera and get it installed with the video line and 12 volt power line run into the cab area. You can do this before you have the harness, and once that's done, the rest of the mod and harness installation is very simple.

Shipping will be via USPS Express delivery. It's $7.00 for shipping anywhere in the lower 48. You will recieve a tracking number when your harness ships.

    Thanks

Which side do you recommend to go in from the engine compartment? Driver or passenger?

I recommend the passenger side. The dash panel above the glove compartment pops out pretty easily (Only held by clips) and it facilitates running the wiring from the firewall boot over to the Entune bay.
