I ordered a Draw-Tite brand hitch. I will post pictures once installed.

I was researching one for my truck. Found these for our trucks. Looks like I'm a little late. Maybe it'll help someone else make a choice. :thumbsup:IMG_1233.jpgIMG_1232.jpg

    Thanks BestGen!!!

I'm hoping the Skid Shield they refer to removing is the TRD plate which my Limited does not have.

My thoughts too Ron! Multiple uses for sure Kelly! I like the idea of being able to swap the winch out for other accessories or move it front or rear according to conditions. Quick disconnects F&R and you're good to go. IMG_1234.jpg

2015 with a Curt front hitch. I removed the very front bolts on the skid pan. To change oil I remove the rest and slide the pan back. I have a very steep driveway and a turn so front is the only way to put the trailers away. Pictures posted in next reply as I can't seem to upload via phone.

We used one at work (USCG) on our truck for the beach. We carried an anchor to bury in the sand and hook up the winch to it. I never had to use it, but supposedly it worked.

Sorry but I’m missing something. Both of those hitches can’t fit the same truck. They connect differently. So which one fits the gen 3’s? I think 2&3 have the same hitch. LMK

Hello, Both models fit the 3rd gen Tundras. I have a draw-tite on a Tacoma and like the extra reinforcement on the side going backward with bolts through the side frame. On the 2015 I have the Curt and it bolts up with four bolts. I cant say enough about the reduction in front end clearance. Yes it protects the underside like a steel beam but very little amount of trying to clear a obstacle with the stock suspension will hit or bottom out. It is a necessity for me weekly to push trailers in backyards for rock etc. I enjoy backing trailers from the rear but from the front it reduces job time and collisions with fences and walls.
