My dad just bought a 14. He likes the rear height but does want the front leveled up a bit. He also like how it rides, so any spacer that compresses the spring more than factory is probably a no go... I see 2 optioms, either adjustable shocks or spacers on top of the factory shocks. Opinions? If it matters, the truck will never be offroad, it tows a light trailer and my dad's getting old, he wants cushy ride;)

Hey Jace, I had 2" Fabtech above C.O. spacers on mine before I got the 6112's. The ride was good, although potholes and stuff like that were harsher and a little clunky feeling. More of the impact transfering to the frame maybe?

    See fine print
I have LRO 3" spacer lift that goes on top of the coilover. It rides just like stock. Cushy still lol. I wouldn't go off-roading with it just because you would most likely bottom out the shocks but for the streets I don't see any harm. Just make sure you use an aluminum one. Don't use the poly urethane ones as they degrade over time.

If we go 5100 route, that's still using the oe spring and compressing it more... wouldn't the ride quality stiffen?

I have the 5100's at the middle setting (1.57") and it is a little stiffer than stock, but stock was pretty soft. I love the ride. I think it rides better then stock. The increase in tire sidewall minimized any increase in shock stiffness.
