Need an assist here. Changing out my brake pads. Did the rear no problem got the truck lifted is the pumpkin as my jack point.

Moved to the front and get it high enough of the ground to lift the tires placing the jack on the cross member or the frame. I am using a 7 ton floor jack. My jack stands have disappeared so I am just using the jack for support to do a quick pad change. I know it isn't the safest but it is all I got right now.

Can I use the LCA as a jack point to get the tires up to change the brake pads?

Yeah Scott, I agree with Mark. At least buy one jack stand and the jack and stand under it. You sure don't want any mistakes...

Neighbor just came over with some 3 ton jack stands are those beefy enough? If so where do I place the jack and where do the jack stands go ?

Sorry for dumb questions but first time lifting this thing off the ground. Used to my Wrangler which was small, light and solid front axle making it much easier

I put the jack on the crossmember where the LCA meets the frame.
Jack stands on the frame under the front doors.

Every time I put my truck up on jackstands, I’ve used the frame and pumpkin as jack points. I put the jack as far forward as I can leaving room to put a jackstand in front of it.
