OK I bought the camera (triangle shaped from Amazon) that mounts in the front emblem on the grill. Of course it came with no directions! I assume that the red and black wires that are connected to the RCA plug go to a power source and ground. Did you just hook up the red wire to your battery? Another question - why is there a red wire (6" long) attached on each end of the other RCA cable? Do I need them?

    Dazed and confused!

On the camera cable, the red and black are the power wires. Connect the red one to that 6” red wire on your RCA cable. Connect the black wire on the camera to a ground - use one of the grounding connections on the side of the engine bay.
Then the other end of the RCA cable goes to the interior and connect to your monitor / FRAC harness.

Are you using the FRAC harness? If so , it has a red wire on it that connects to the other 6” red wire on the other end of the RCA cable.

I am not using the FRAC harness. I guess that I could hook up the red wire up to the positive terminal on the battery or the positive wire on the head unit. Thanks for your response!

Just wired up the wifes camry for the same camera in the rear and didn't use the red wires hanging off the RCA jacks. I wired the red and black to the rear reverse light and that was it. Works fine thus far. Not sure why you would need 12v on the RCA line as well.

I assume your black wire was connected to a ground.

Yes, I literally connected them both into the socket for the bulb so I utilized the existing bulb ground as opposed to trying to find a screw or hole to bolt to.
