I have a hard time pulling up to parking spots etc. I think a front camera would come in handy.

Thinking of getting an aftermarket head unit that can do both rear and front cameras.

Please share your setups, id like to see some ideas!

This can also help when off-roading / crawling.

Really? I've gotten used to it.

Also, I never pull into a space, I ALWAYS back up into it. So much easier to pull out (snicker)

I drive different cars through the week so it's hard for me to get used to the Tundra.

I back up when I can but when the parking is at an angle I cant back in. And there's a lot of parking spaces like that over here.

I know it's not needed but it would be nice to have.

    Makes sense.

Yeah I'm not a fan of those angled spaces. Especially how tight they usually are in the city!!

Alpine has a nice unit for Tundras. Comes with hook ups for alpine cameras front and rear. Not cheap but very nice.

I have the setup that Bluebottle posted. Had shop install it. One of my posts had the parts list if you're interested. I love it cuz now I can park much better, I wasn't very good with front depth perception. I use it almost everyday.

You've got a Platinum so it should be relatively easy on your OEM head unit. Just need to tap into the signal for your parking sensors (come on under 6 mph) and use that for a relay on the camera and for a relay that switches between your two cameras

i'd rather use a switch to turn on the front camera.

I was browsing the NET and these 2 items would do it. All I need is a toggle sw to activate the front camera.

Wow that first video is the ticket. Wonder if the crutchfield part would work the same way. I like that the backup camera comes on always.

I need a front camera for off road. I use a 10" tablet (Galaxy Tab S2) for everything in the truck. Anyone know of a cheap camera that I can wifi to the tablet? Like a gopro, except no reason to spend that much money on a camera that will be permanently mounted to the front of my truck.

    Check out Gear Pro

That looks like it'll work. Btw a relay is a switch, but I think you're talking about a manual switch instead of an automatic one.

Oh man let me know what you go with! and how you like it! I have the same problem... We either dive my truck or my wife's nissan versa =P two totally different vehicles lol. I mostly want the front camera because of my works parking garage... Kinda narrow so i need to get as close as possible to the wall so i don't stick out... I would back into my spot but its frowned upon and they ticket you...

LoL it's just a TRD Pro up here... no Platinum added annotation. However, our Pros do come with the front and rear sensor, BSM as well... leather and a sunroof

Still about a month until I see it, and if it's like the 4Runner we finally got, it'll be delayed and show up in 2... :anonymous:

Front sensors are a joke. What they really do is beep constantly when you're in a drive through.

So I have renamed them 'stay away from mcdonalds' sensors.

I find them quite useful on occasion however I've noticed that on the front bumper there are only two and each one is at an angle so I have no gauge of how close I am to a wall or object.

I may do this mod in the near future, I've got to add a bluetooth dongle to the back of the head unit anyway.
