    Hi all!

Recently transitioned from a 2013 Tacoma to a 2017 Tundra. I upgraded to the Tundra to pull my 30' toy hauler and off road toys. I'm hoping to get some insights on how I can make my tow vehicle a little more stable.

    Thanks for reading!
    Mike

    Welcome

A lot of people swear by a (anti) sway bar to help in towing stability

Since you have already installed a WDH, what is the camper doing that makes you want it more "stable?"

I need stopping power at this point. I was on the grade coming from Mammoth to Bishop (Sierra Mountains in CA) and I just couldn't hold down the brakes too long without the truck violently shaking. I believe I got the rotors too hot and they got warped. Now I'm looking to see what is out there for a big brake kit.

If your pulling a 30ft toyhauler you shouldn’t have bought a tundra. You should have bought a 3/4 ton. I can almost guarantee you are overweight…

Stoptech would be worth looking into. Slotted rotors, maybe upgrade to steel woven fluid cables

That was the first thing I purchased. I bought the Equal-i-zer 4 point sway and weight distribution hitch. I swear by it too. I have been in some pretty strong winds and that sure helped minimize the sway. It also lifted my rear end a little bit. Once I put in the air bags, it sure rides nice.

I was looking into Stoptech. They are local to me in in SoCal. I have been waiting to see if they were going to stock more kits but they said they can't easily get parts to make their kits. I was also looking at the R1 Concepts and EBC kits.

Sequential Shift to lock up the torque converter. Lots of folks that tow use S in 4th.
