From Taco to Tundra

    I found that my 2018 Taco CCLB TRD Sport, while an excellent truck, wasn’t going to tow my 4,500 lb travel trailer as comfortably as I liked. It was great on relatively flat ground, but throw in a hill and it was screaming to make it to the top (around 4K RPM and speed dropped off).

    My boy got a Tundra 5yrs ago and we drove it Up the AlCan to Anchorage towing a 12’ Uhaul trailer without a problem. His truck made it through the last 4 winters and back to the lower 48. The only thing it has been in the shop for is routine service.

    After a short conversation with my DW, she said she wanted to look go look at the Tundra, with the agreement we were ONLY going to compare and get information on the different trim levels. 4 hours later we left the Taco with the dealership and drove home in our new Tundra.

    I’m just waiting for my turn to drive it.
