    Hi guys and gals,

I started off my Toyota truck journey with a brand new 2010 Tacoma SR5 4x4 regular cab. It was an awesome truck but I went through a period where I didn't need a vehicle and I had no place to store it. Plus the 4-banger was a bit tiresome driving through the mountains with much of a load and the cabin was a bit cramped for long trips.

Fast forward about 4 years to May 2014 ... I picked up a nice 2001 Tundra SR5 2wd access cab with the 4.7 V8. It's been a great truck. I do miss the little Taco sometimes, but the ability to carry a heavy load is much appreciated! The transition from stick to automatic was the hardest pill to swallow. Oh yea, the ARE camper shell was purchased yesterday for $120! Heck of a find on Craigslist!

I just discovered this Tundra forum after being an active member on TacomaWorld before selling my Taco. Happy to be here!

Welcome from Aurora,CO. I owned a 2009 Taco with 2.7L and drove it all they way to Alaska and towed a 17ft trailer with 2 snow machines (snow mobiles for those of you that live in the lower 48) back to CO. The 2.7L sucked on the way back down. Hence the 5.7L Tundra.

Welcome aboard. Many of us here have transitioned up to the Tundra. Many of us were also very active @ TacomaWorld site.
    They'll get over it...

Thanks for the welcome everyone! I'm hoping not to spend as much money on accessories for this truck as I did on my Tacoma....but this site doesn't help with the. ;)

Welcome and congrats. I almost went through Taco-Tundra route. I was shopping for a Taco when I, just for the heck of it, test drove a Tundra. I changed my mind very quickly.
