Need some pros and cons on each one of these. Can get the Pro Fox suspension for about $3K and can get the Fox factory 2.5 front and rear resi suspension for around $2300..... both get about 2” of front lift.....Any advantage of getting Fox factory over the Pro suspension besides being rebuildable? Thanks

Fox factory with resi is rebuildable, tunable. If you get the ones with DSC that'll even be better. TRD Pro is not rebuildable or tunable and we don't know for sure how long Toyota stock those as replacements. On the other hand, TRD Pro shocks are tuned specifically for the Tundra. And lastly, cost.

I do believe that the TRD Pro fox suspension is in fact rebuildable and can be sent in to fox.

Yes I called FOX factory and the TRD PRO shocks are rebuildable by FOX. The tech i talked to really liked the shocks and did say Toyota tuned them just for the Tundra. He also said FOX may start copying the design for some of there other shocks.

I just purchased a new set of the TRD PRO shocks and installed them on my 2018 1794. I have put about 200+ miles on them, on the road and off as well as mountains. I like them and you can actually feel them working. I do still have my rear sway bar attached and may see how it feels without after I disconnect it.

The factory TRD PRO fox shocks work with the factory upper control arms on every other Tundra. I wasn’t going to be doing serious rock climbing or off-roading every weekend so adjustability really didn’t matter to me. Set it and forget it.

Do you have any pics of your 1794 with the TRD Fox setup?

I would not pay more money for trd pro shocks that have less capacity for cooling.

Bigger for less money? Yes please.

Actually no. I checked the use of the lane assistance and that worked, the assistance braking seems to work since it did go off once.
The only I didn’t check was the cruise control but really I’m only sitting a couple inches taller so I really don’t think there will be any issues. Other have said they have had no issues as well.

I have fox 2.5 up front and fox 2.0 in the back. I love my setup. My brother just got a 2019 pro with the fox shocks and it felt really nice. Can't go wrong with either.

To install the kit you will need to drop the lower control arms and make sure the (R) and the (L) on the springs are lined up with the notch on the upper control arms spring cup.
The rears just bolt up pretty easy. You will need to get the TRD FOX speed sensor bracket. I actually have the rear TRD rear sway bar installed and the one legs on the bracket needed to trimmed a little to fit over the sway bar u-bolt.
I may be removing the rear sway bar so I I purchased two brackets.

i went with fox 0-3" ultimate stage 4 kit. currently sitting at 4/2. ride is fully hand/knob tunable. no tools. better than stock ride when i want it to be, fully offroad capable when i want it to be. maybe overkill for what you want tho.

I got a even better deal on the Fox TRD’s than I originally found and went ahead and ordered them.... I’m thinking about installing the Westcott spring collars in them before i install them to add slightly more lift

Thanks for the helpful replies folks

Cool 2019-1794 you got them on order? Did you order the sensor mount as well?

Take the measurements of your truck in different areas before the install then after. I’m still looking for the paper I wrote mine down on and I’ll post them.

Let’s us know when they arrive.

yes I ordered them from a Toyota dealership... I’ve got 5100 on middle setting right now I’ll do a before and after measurement.... it looks like the speed sensor bracket it isn’t really needed but I ordered it anyways... looks easy to install.

I attached some pics of the speed sensor bracket. It basically extends the original on the truck. Mine had to be trimmed due to rear swaybar.

That looks simple enough! What size tires are you gonna try and run? You have anymore pics of your truck with the pro suspension?

I’m still thinking about the tires sizes and rims. I really like the 2019-2020 PRO rims. So I’m thinking maybe a 275/65/18 think I’ll just need to remove the little wind guard from the front????

Right now I’ll be paying off my shocks so I’ll have to run the stock ones for a while.

What about yourself for tire and rims?

I’ll have to take some pics and upload them.

If I can find TRD Pro wheels for a reasonable price, like $1500 or so I plan on running the 295/70/18 but more than likely stick with the 20” stock wheels and hopefully run a 285/65/20.... I’m on 275/65/20 right now with no rub... I also have removed the front flap and bent the skid plate slightly.

I’m looking for around the same price for the Pro Rims. I see a lot posted but over $2000 can’t do that right now. The 295/70/18 sounds good however.

Running the 20’s that size is good. I changed my skid plates to the RCI ones. Full engine, transmission and fuel tank. They sit back pretty good so I don’t have to worry about trimming those.
