All - New Tundra owner here; although I've driven a largely stock '02 Tacoma TRD for that last 19 years...kept it in the family and negotiated visitation right, but it served my off-roading needs as long as I kept good tires on it. Well all good things come to an end and I upgraded to a '20 Double Cab Limited :D

So after spending way too much time on this forum and starting to purchase some projects I'm still struggling with suspension decision...which of course will drive my tire purchase.

I started off with thinking about the 6112/5160 combo (1.9 setting), then figured I'd just buy the OE Pro Fox "kit" from sparks, but think the Accutuneoffroad (Adventure) tuned Fox setup is more capable for similar price; therefore, I am leaning toward:

Fox 2.5 w/ Resi on all four corners
No DSC on front, maybe DSC on rear for occasionally towing a trailer

I like the idea of the 0-2 (bolt on) and realize I'll need an aftermarket UCA for the 0-3. It seems most people go the 0-3 w/ UCA route and I want to make sure I understand if I'm missing something before pulling the trigger on the 0-2. I couldn't find much info on the 0-2 specifically (i.e., amount of lift, etc.) but realize the spacer is the biggest difference between the two.

I should also note that this is my daily driver and I spend the vast majority of time on the road. Off-roading typically is driving on forest service roads or logging roads in the Pacific Northwest.

Love the opinions and info on the forum...thoughts on 0-2 vs 0-3 and if DSC is worth it for the rear.

I went with 0-3 front and icon billet ucas, its dsc all around, figure its one of those buy once cry once type of deal, until I want something more out of it.

-Fox 2.5 Shocks on all corners is a great option, high quality shock built with some durable and long last parts (compared to others). Thats where the price tag comes from mainly.
-DSC Adjusters are great for a vehicle that is being used for towing or adding large amounts of weight in back and you want to the ability to fine tune the compression. This will help with handling for long distance drives, under load. It's up to you if you think you will want them or not, and actually use them. More details about those DSC adjusters here.
-0-2" Lift coilovers vs 0-3" coilovers are pretty straight forward, one offers more shock travel than the other. With more droop/travel, the upper control arm needs to be replaced to compensate for that added droop and for alignment purposes. 0-3" will usually get you a leveled stance with no added weight. More shock travel will help off-road a bit, but in reality the different in shock travel is roughly .2"
-If you do go with us for the shocks, we will be custom valving them to work even better than how they come from Fox. That will be a huge improvement over what you have now. The DSC adjusters will just be an added benefit, but not essential.

Happy days...shocks installed. Ended up going with the OE Fox Pro Fronts and Fox 2.5 w/ Resi in the rear.

    Measurement before:
    Driver - Passenger
    22 - 22
    24 1/4 - 23 1/2

    Measurement after
    23 3/4 - 23 3/4
    24 1/4 - 24

Next is some wheels and tires and then....this forum is a bad influence.

I like it better, it soaks up the bumps better for sure and I also feel like it corners better too. I haven't had a chance to play with the DSC yet but will.

Also added some KO2's (275/60R20) on the stock wheels...could have gone bigger but wanted to stay in the 33" range, this particular size is D rated vs E which is more than sufficient for my needs and a little lighter...plus they were on sale :D

GoRhino RB20’s are arriving on Sat.
Leaning toward a CB1 to give a little more rake.

you should make fronts the next upgrade, I just had all four corners of 2.5 dsc (with accutune valving) put on, wow what an improvement.
