Reminds me of that time I rolled into the stealership for service a long time ago, and while entering a conversation looking at the FORD service line backed up to the road service rep states "Sometimes I wish we were busier, but then I look across the street and I forget all about it" lol...

Camera too dark? Kind of like Tundra turn signals.

I also have a soft spot for GM trucks but back when they still used actual SBC's in them. I would have bought one instead of my Tundra if I could have only found a nice lower mileage one locally. I couldn't find anything decent with under 200K miles. Amazingly there were plenty of duallies with 454's but I couldn't justify the 8 or so mpg's for a daily driver nor wanted the hassle of parking one.

I used to only drive GM vehicles and Chevy trucks because my dad worked for GM. I just don’t like the GM trucks anymore, the old Chevy 350 engine was great.

The CTB looks good until you realize that they cheaped out on it so much that the jump seat didn't even have storage under it before 2021.

The one I can't wrap my head around is a locking gas door. I mean, there must be a reason every car has one now and not a single pickup does?

Yeah; I mean, in my case, I never had serious issues with any Ford I've owned (not counting the 1997 Taurus we used to own - aka 'The Fish Car.')

However, I had numerous small issues with my 2013 F150 SuperCab that I could never get resolved - driveline vibration, right rear door would come open when temps were below freezing, serious media system issues, etc. Ford either flat out said "Yeah, we don't have a fix" or didn't respond at ALL or said "Heh, characteristic of the truck."

The best Ford I owned and still own is my 56 Fairlane. The second best was my 63 F100. You could break but not kill the 63.

I wish. I searched high and low for a decent inline 300. It has the 351 which has been very good to me but it only goes 4000 miles a year maybe. I am going to do a full restore on it or sell it to get a crew cab OBS since I will need the space in the next year or two

I had both an 85 and a 94. The 85 had a 300 and the 94 a 302. The 302 was a much better engine but neither truck was all that great. I just got rid of the 94.

Better in what way? I was always told the 300 was bulletproof.

I had cam issues with my 300 by 80K miles. It would rattle terribly on start up when cold. It had regular oil changes. Once warmed up there was no noise. It ran fine otherwise. It kept going for many, many, more miles despite that. It also kept losing manifold bolts. Loctite didn't help much. Though not engine related it also also came with a clutch that was too small. Luckily the flywheel had the holes tapped in it for a larger clutch so it was just a bolt in swap.
The 300 had adequate torque but was no match for a 302 for HP.
