    Function before sparkle.
They are all right, considering the F150 has multiple engines, trim levels and price spread from your local telephone company utility truck to the Raptor.

It’s like comparing the menu at Five Guys to McDonalds.

I would agree with all but the plush ride; I know several who own a Tundra who used to own an F150, and comparing similar price points, the ride was better in the F150.

With this said, they (in my opinion) picked 5 kinda silly reasons. Granted, you only get one engine with the Tundra, but the 5.7L in my Tundra kicks the ever loving sh*t out of the 5.0L in my F150 (the one I traded in), and while yes, the base cost of a Tundra is higher, it's because they don't sell a regular cab, AND it comes with a ton of safety features.

I could go on, but this is like comparing apples to kumquats.

^This. I can’t disagree with the article based on the categories they chose. I chose the Tundra for its reliability and stellar resale value and performance.

Yup. It's not like the interior in my Tundra sucks. The price point of my F150 XLT was right around what I paid for this Tundra; and it's got a far nicer interior.

Plus we drive the base model F150's @ work all the time, and trust me, 'cheapest base model truck' isn't exactly something to brag about.

That article lost all credibility when I checked the source that THEY linked about the "cushy ride" stating that the rear seat of the F150 was larger. I've included a pic from the site they link, and I bet the mental deficient that cited it only skimmed and saw the highlighted part while complete ignoring the bit circled in red. The article they cite DOES NOT state that the F150 has more leg room, it simply states which cab option gives the most for each brand. If they are this off on basic reading comprehension, then everything they say is called into question.

Since it’s Memorial Day, they should’ve added a category for the truck that is the most “American Made”...Tundras win against all manufacturers in that category.:oldglory:

I actually compared the F150 upper trim lines with the Tundra 1794 and found that I got WAY more bang for my bucks with the Tundra. I was surprised but it's true. At LEAST a $10k price difference when truly comparing all the options.

Nothing like an article that may or may not pass off as journalism touting an F-150 is better than Tundra debate.

I'm shocked there aren't more people arguing the backseat in f150 being bigger? It's been over 10 years since I had a super crew, but I don't remember it being any where near as big as the crew Max trucks I've had. That's been one of the biggest selling points for me on tundra.

Well, I guess it's settled, Ford is much better than a Tundra since it has a Led light in the bed.

The article is typical misleading to suit a particular point of view. There is no way you can get the Option for option configuration of a 5.7L V8 with 4x4 I got in my SR DC. I know I tried. To get to my price point in an F-150 it would be 2WD with a 2.6L V6 and probably a regular cab.

I have not owned a f150 but the cost to maintain my tundra has been minimal up to 100k miles. You get what you pay for in a tundra.

You know what, I really don’t care what some car review squad thinks is better. I don’t listen to salesman on dealer lots nor commercials from a manufacture on TV, they’re all paid by someone and that creates a biased opinion. I put more stock into hearing opinions and reviews from guys and gals on forums who actually use/own their vehicles than from biscuit writers. At least I feel I get a more honest opinion from a forum member or YouTuber.

    1. Cost of the base model is a moot point since nobody in the real world buys one.
    2. Cushy ride in a truck = less capability. Buy a Lexus sedan if that's so important to you. Also, the story this link took me to said the Ridgeline is the most comfortable daily. o_O
    3. Ok, maybe some valid points here. I do think my Tundra is too high and tall but that's more to do with the height of the windshield when I have to scrape ice off it than the height of the bed when I've been loading it. A higher bed may actually be better for loading if you're carrying stuff at chest height (i.e. the power zone) and don't have to lower it as far.
    4. I don't think it's fair to give the Ford points for both being cheaper at the bottom end and more luxurious (and thus more expensive) at the top end.
    5. Ok, Ford has better fuel economy, sure.

U.S. News seems to be heavily biased in favour of Ford. I read one comparison where they said the F150 is better than the Silverado because it has 9 different configurations; it actually has 7. (They also did the same thing as they did here: the $28k XL is cheaper than the $29k WT and the $100k Platinum is nicer than the $85k High Country.)

It's awesome that they compare a $85k Limited F150 to a $65k Platinum. Damn straight the Ford is nicer inside, it's 30% more expensive.

And if you put a F150 next to a Tundra the Tundra looks so much bolder. The squarer lines, the slightly bigger size, and the F150 shrek ear mirrors make the Tundra look so much better.
