My 2018 4x4 CM has a stage 1 Pro Comp 6" lift installed, and I am very happy with it. However, I have to work out the spare wheel/tire situation for it. I would like to utilize the factory 18" spare rim (with a 35" tire installed) but I know that the backspacing will be a huge problem. Can anybody tell me how thick of a wheel spacer would be required to make the factory spare work with said lift? I know that the installed factory OEM wheels have a 6.85" backspacing, but not sure if the spare is the same. And Pro Comp does not give recommended backspacing on their website or instructions. If any of you has any idea, I would greatly appreciate it. Oh, and I will make sure that you will not go to HELL!

Instructions say 5.5 inch max. So you would need like 1.5 right?

This was a conundrum for me, and I still haven’t executed the final solution. I’m running PC Stage II which essentially means the stock wheels (17”) will NOT fit on the front spindles.

    In the meantime...

If I need to spare out the rear wheel, no issues, just looks funny for a bit.

If I need to spare out the front? Well, that requires a double wheel swap. Would have to put the spare on a rear axle, then use THAT good tire to swap out the front.

Not the bet solution, but doable for now

Fingers crossed I won’t need it lol
