LOL. I've been retired over a year. Should have retired earlier.... I don't miss the commute and work related stress. Sitting is the new smoking health threat, and I have gotten in better shape now that I have time for jogging and walking.

11 yrs here, and not a sec later. Not that I hate my job, but don't care to work for max benefit, not worth it. I'll be that retired worker in Lowe's helping you with your mower selection:D

Sold! I bought a Cub a couple of years ago and really like it. Score 1 for the "consultant". I also have a John Deere that has become, shall we say, less than dependable. That's why we bought the Cubby. We are a two-lawn-mower family! May have to start holding our own races in the neighborhood....

What some people don't know is , that John Deere @ Home Cheapo is just plastic with John Deere on it with a Briggs/Straton engine. I'm not knocking Briggs there tough little motors but for what they want cost wise is not a deal . For that price get something with a Koehler engine or spend a bit more and get a Kawasaki . Cub Cadet makes a solid mower . I'm a Toro guy but would consider Cub anytime

Our Deere is a commercial-grade with a Kawasaki engine. The engine has been good/strong. Everything else on it, not so much.
