Any trick to removing the bulb
By the footwell? I have a VLEDS

You should be able to grab the bulb with either a pair of needle nose(wrap the tips with duct tape sticky side out), or by just grabbing with a piece of duct tape itself.

I just reached behind the panel and removed the bulb socket, then you can just grab the bulb with your fingers.

Before removing the bulb, you’ve gotta get behind there with your fingers and turn the bulb socket about a 1/4 turn and it’ll come out from behind.

On the adapter I bought the two leads were not making a good connection. So I bent them out a little and it plugged in and worked fine.

From the adapter I cut the other end off and cut and spliced my own LED light strip from eBay. I strung it through to the passenger footwell as well. It turned out great and it lit the place up. Very easy!

Do you have a picture of this? I have an extra led strip and this would be a good idea

Sorry to dig up an old thread, but I've gotten to the actual light install part. How did you get the lights from one footwell to the other?

Just feed them through. Once your down there you will see it’s a piece of cake.
Did you look to VLEDS for any parts?
My 3M backing wore off, so I had to make shift and just wedged them so that the lights are pointing down. This is by far one of the top 5 mods!
    Good luck

I'll be doing this at some point in the future because I keep strapping waterproof boxes for tools underneath my tonneau. I wonder how hard it will be to tap into the existing leds so it turns on with the existing lights.
