I’m wanting to replace the stock Rigid fog lights and leaning toward the DD SS3 Pro or the BD Squadron Pro. Are either one a simple plug & play replacement? Any knowledge and feedback would be greatly appreciated!

Do you use your fog lights daily? Squadron pros are going to blind every one and their momma.
To answer your question both have adapter plugs so they are plug and play. I would definitely go with diode dynamics and I have the Baja “SAE” fogs and they are horrible!

    Alot of them
I run 2 sets of Rigid SAE's daily. Alot of output and goes well with my Morimoto XB's.

Not trying to tell you what to do, but why would you want to change out the factory Rigid fogs for another set?

Doesn’t seem like much of an upgrade to go from Rigid to DD or BD from what you’re starting with…would be better off keeping what you have and adding ditch lights or a lightbar if looking for a lighting change.

Actually, I meant BD Sport. Got it mixed up with the DD Pro. I wondered about the BD SAE, but thought it wouldn’t produce the light output I’m looking for. I’m going with Amber on whichever I choose.

I think the stock Rigid’s are decent fog lights. I’m looking for something with more light output and in Amber. From my research, the BD and the DD will outperform the stock Rigid’s every day of the week.

By outperform do you mean just more light output? I think your stock ones are true SAE fogs versus some of the others that are more universal/ditch lights that can just be mounted in fog light location so they have more output but are not necessarily true fog light application.

I know some on here have just purchased the amber Rigid covers to snap on…gives you the option to run white or amber depending on if you’re in dusty conditions or leading from front. Amber is going to cut your output significantly from a white light in general.

    https://www.tundras.com/threads/anyone-able-to-get-rigid-industries-covers-over-their-fogs-on-the-pro.76378/

Not intending to be argumentative; if that’s what you’re after with the look, go for it …just trying to help save you some cash :spending:.

I’d gladly take a set of Pro Rigid fogs in place of my no-name ones that came with my aftermarket bumper that I’m currently running if the price were right ;)

So I’m assuming you aren’t running these for everyday driving? City streets?

Yes, more light output is definitely what I’m looking for and in Amber. Ditch lights are a possibility sometime soon. The DD SS3 Pro’s are SAE and the specs far outweigh the stock Rigid’s. With that said, the snap on covers are a mute point. I’ll be happy to sell you the Pro Rigid Fogs once I make a purchase which will be most likely a Labor Day Sale.

My Pro is a daily driver and is used often for camping and over landing a little.

i would leave stock rigids and add a light bar in hood buldge or grill for more light when offroad.

Ok...My 2020 TRD Pro Fog Lights come with a square plastic bezel housing on the bumper. I need a round bezel housing for aftermarket fog lights. Has anyone replaced their non-TRD Pro bumper and willing to sell their bezel?

I got the SS3 Max, install was a pain. Wish they were easier to adjust but I will probably break more clips if I tried again
