Haha! I was combo poking fun (tiny trailer + a bunch of guns + money spent on a RC toy = rural TX) and guessing.... You told us on your intro that you grew up in East Texas. I guessed you still visit there (that if you lived there, those guns wouldn't all be lined up along the outside wall like that). I easily recalled you said "East Texas" because that was one of the names of Gary Sinise' character on the movie The Stand.

    Haha
Thanks man! Did you go to Lone Star Toyota Jamboree this year??

I bent my alignment tabs trying to get up a hill that i have had to winch assist up 2 times before... Its a very picky line and my truck being a long bed sits in the ruts just right so i had to get momentum to bump the steps and then i ran into a rock with my front passenger tire...

    Still trying to fix everything...

    • Picked up some total chaos alignment tabs to prevent this from happening again!
    • Need to pick up some new spindles and total chaos spindle gussets as mine tweaked just enough to ruin things... spindle gussets should prevent bending also.
    • going to get some new LCA bushing since i will be in there already anyway
    • Need new tie rod ends as the passenger side is shot
    • and then i need to get the lifetime alignment from SHITTY Firestone... but hey its lifetime!
Had Tandum Auto do a quick "fix" on the alignment tabs so i could stop destroying my tires. This allowed me to get an alignment till i weld on my TC alignment tabs...

Haha. Oh i forgot that was in my intro! But i live in Dallas now, stuck in the big city... I try to get out of town as much as possible though. I plan to get back out there this weekend to work a bit more on the trailer and get away from the city.

Also just ordered the new axle for the trailer so that should be ready for pick up friday or monday.

Thanks! I have been eyeing your wheels for a while now! Wish i would have known about your guys when i first got the truck!
They are a lot of fun! And it has some pretty good flex and are surprisingly capable crawlers. I thought they were lame till i tried driving one and then i was hooked. Now im sure others look at me like im lame when the seem a grown ass man playing with an RC! My step dad got hooked by chasing the dogs around the yard with it! haha...

Still not into the fast ones though, i get bored too quick. And drones are crazy expensive.

    Flex photos! haha

I was literally just playing with my RC crawler for the first time in like a year, if the battery didn’t die I would still be out there, so much fun!

Also I was so confused looking at the names on the first few replies because after reading thru your post I just figured I was on TW lol

    Welcome.

Nice! Yeah i love that i can spend hours crawling, racing gets boring quick and batteries die fast. What kind of crawler do you have??

And yeah @Bob is supposed to hook me up with vendor status so that i can start a for sale thread for my mounts. Already running on TW, then i heard Tundras come with bed rails too! Im sure he is a busy guy.

Thanks! I want to pick up some of your S2s to run for ditch lights, a bit more low profile. Just need to figure out what to do with the squadrons.... probably go on my teardrop trailer.

Which reminds me... I have a stripped screw on one of my squadrons, what is the tread pattern used to hold the lenses on?

This guy first posted as a new vendor, jumping over here from a Tacoma forum, to sell us some sweet mounts to attach to our bedrails. But I and others pointed him to the mods to get signed up as an official vendor. During that time (he's officially a vendor as of last night), he posted a new member intro under the same name. So we got to know him a bit: East Texas, now DFW; a little trailer he's about to modify; guns; and RC crawler pics.

Here's the link to his new vendor thread:

What, why? I'm super excited to have this guy join us. He's contacted @Bob who made him a vendor. Pretty sure he's been checked out.

Ya, if he is real and gets rid of that Hot Wheel, the Code Red remains. Tundra = YES - Tacoma = JR Mint

I honestly would love to have a V8 full size truck, but driving around DFW i like having the midsize. Plus i dont really have a need for a V8 at the moment. Also nice for those tight trails, i already get pretty close to trees, i could only imagine the pucker factor in a full size.

I will eventually get a full size truck once this is paid off but i think this Taco will go to the grave with me!
