    Hi,

    I just picked 2 new (used) Toyotas - 2009 Tundra and 2002 Rav 4.

Compared to my wife's Ford and all my friends vehicles, the radio reception is terrible... I have no idea why these 2 Toyotas can't pick up radio stations that easily come in for any other vehicle I've checked. Both head units are original.

For the Tundra, the antenna screws out nicely, I wire brushed the threads and re-installed, no change. Could it be the base? Any advice?

    Thanks!

I live in a rural area and my 2011 DC and my 2016 Sequoia both have terrible FM reception. I thought it was because of where I live but recently I have been riding in various types of cars and they all have excellent reception in the same areas!
