My tundra radio makes noise on the FM band only when driving. Very strange. AM is perfect and so is HD and XM channels. What could it be????

Welcome from Arkansas! So, if you are just sitting in your truck with the ignition off, there is no noise/static on your radio? If you are just sitting/idling the truck does it do it? If it only does it when the truck is running, I would suspect some feedback from the alternator. It sounds like you can replicate the situation easily so I would let Toyota troubleshoot it since you are under warranty.

Yes while idling it does not make any noise or static. Only for FM, AM and XM are fine. So strange, thanks for the help.

That is weird. I don't know if it could still be an alternator issue that only causes feedback when it is at higher RPM. Sorry that I wasn't any real help with your issue.... Hope you can get resolved soon; that would be very irritating. Perhaps the dealership can try shielding some wiring/cables to get rid of it for you.

Thanks for the help Ron. It is possible the technician hit something when checking for noises on the left hand side of the steering wheel. Perhaps when he re-assembled he hit something. But i still cannot understand why only FM and Not AM and XM radio. I have sent a message to Toyota as well maybe they can figure something out.
