    Greetings!

I'm taking ownership of this 2020 CrewMax today, and plan on building it into something offroad capable with blacked out components.

My interests in the build include:

    1. TRD Pro grille upgrade (blacked out). I've read pros and cons of aftermarket and would appreciate info on any reputable sources for the grille, bumper trim and sensor cover. Please share a link to any sales if possible!

    2. I want to know your suggested sources for a blacked out bumper, either OEM or upgraded bumpers. Please feel free to share pics, why you like it or dislike your upgrade, and where you bought your bumper. Thanks!

    3. I need help determining the wheel style on the truck. I believe this might be manufactured by Fuel but won't know until I take delivery. The driver front wheel separated, likely from impacting something like a curb. I would like to find out the model and just replace one wheel for now, but I'm open to other suggested options.

    4. Any other optional upgrades that might improve the interior or exterior of this SR5 into something close to a TRD Pro. The interior is grey/black leather.

Thanks and I look forward to your responses!

Welcome, flyingelk. I'm sure you'll get lots of advice. Just look out for elkhunter. That 2020 looks like it took out a few mailboxes.

@Roman has been selling genuine Toyota and you will see his name dropped a lot for that. Though I recently read maybe his dealership isn’t doing out of state sales?? May be worth digging into.

Rock auto also has great prices on almost all Toyota parts and some aftermarket support. I’m looking into the Westin Outlaw front bumper. It’s almost prerunner style but a bit more heavy duty. NFab has a similar set up but they stamped their logo right in the front which is kinda a turn off for me

AJT does nice interior trim pieces with multiple colors. Since you have leather no reason for Katskinz. If you haven’t gotten a driver side grab handle it’s worth the money. Should have come stock. 12Volt solutions has an automatic start kit that is supposed to be not too difficult to install. And I would get a wireless charging tray cause that technology almost anyone could use.

This is more of a personal list of things I have got or plan to get or currently have on the way. Also pedal commander of you want a less soft/squishy pedal.

This is from Westin. Still has their logo but not a big. I like how simple but sturdy it is. I have seen it on some of my local truck groups get togethers

Look at @smslavin build. I was creeping on his thread the other day. Talk about an inspiration page! Definitely a clean build

Happy Thanksgiving and I appreciate the input! I'll be looking into the suggested mods and just placed my first order for blacked out overlays. My next upgrade will likely be a front bumper if I can figure out something of high quality and possibly capable of supporting a winch. I'll keep you posted!

ADD has a couple nice bumpers too. If you look them up you will continue to see my bias toward high clearance bumpers. Their Stealth fighter is so nice but much more expensive than Westin

In summary never ask a forum what to buy. They will convince you to spend your money

It's been a while, but I wanted to share that I just had the truck detailed and I'm waiting on a steering clock spring replacement. So far, we have only upgraded the grille and lights, and replaced a wheel and tire. I'm considering aftermarket floor mats and still researching bumper upgrades.

Update - it looks like we now have a broken gusset on the left front and I will need to weld in a replacement before a complete alignment. The previous owner apparently installed about 2" of leveling lift, but the left front wheel still contacts the inside rear splash guard around 3/4 of a left turn towards lock. I may also end up doing a BMC unless there is a cheaper/safer alternative.
