Before I take it in thought I’d try asking here.
2019 DC 5.7 , anyone had a slight clunk, heard and felt under 10 mph, only when first started and driving away?
Doesn’t do it after driving for awhile, but will again after its been sitting for a bit. Just at first take off, driver side.

I did get down and and see if front driveshaft, exhaust, coil were loose and nothing seemed out of place by feel.

1000 miles in, and a few things need addressed. Wavy passenger side windshield, (weird) and seat seam coming undone.

    Thanks

It's normal, you don't notice it after awhile. Like said above it's the ABS system performing a self check.

I am just under 1000 miles & have been concerned about the same noise. Glad to get an answer here. Thanks!

It’s the abs self check. Module is on driver side firewall so the feeling is amplified through the metal. 100% normal.

My door locks lock at the same time the ABS does a self check so I never hear it. The only way I know is I tested it, I locked the doors before I drove off and heard it once LOL.

I learned about this when I first got my truck, thought I was kicking up up stones all the time lol!
My question is what other trucks or cars has this?
I had never heard of this method for the ABS to self check before.

Every one I’ve owned within the past 20 years. Lol. My 98’ Buick Regal did it. My 08 G35 did it. My 11 Sierra did it. My 18’ tundra does it. Every vehicle with ABS does it. Some are just more noticeable.

Mine is very noticeable, and annoyed me when I had just bought my 18 but now I am used to it.

You're right, I have never ever heard nor noticed this phenomena and this includes driving modern Silverado's, F-150's, Hondas, Chevy Equinoxes, Jetta, X'Terra and RAV4.
    Strange.

My 11’ Sierra was loud enough to hear haha. My wife’s Highlander, I can feel it, but it’s a hell of a lot smoother feeling than my tundra. I’m over sensitive to everything in vehicles though and notice things 99% of normal people wouldn’t lol.

I just logged on to ask this same question. I've never had a vehicle that clunked so loudly during the ABS check. Mine always coincides with turning out of my driveway. I thought it was a loose swaybar or something in the front steering assembly.

Exactly what I was wondering/experiencing... Or if something else left the factory not tightened up. Guess this is a trait of the truck, never noticed in any other vehicle and I’ve had too many.
