    Hello guys.

first time with a full size truck. I had a mint FJ that I wanted to take advantage of the market and cash it in on something more useful. The FJ was amazing off road but as a everyday family hauler or road-trip vehicle it left a lot to be desired.
Also I have a 1946 CJ2A Jeep I would like to tow places.
The wife and I were looking at Tacomas because there cheaper on paper but after dealing with shitty dealers and their markups and sitting the whole family in a Tacoma I showed the wife the Tundra I wanted on the lot and technically it was only 5k more then the smaller Taco we drove home with it.
Glad to have on of the last V8s. (Till I have to fill 38 gals )

Welcome from LA (Lower Alabama)! When I was in high school, my cousin and I bought an old willys from a salvage yard. The body had been cut in two and we had to weld the pieces back together. We cleaned dirt dauber nests out of the pistons and transmission housing and put the whole thing together over about a year. My uncle was full-time Army National Guard so we learned a lot from the motor pool sergeant. Parts were still available back then (late 70's/early 80's). Not sure if this could easily be done today.

Once we finished building it we had all kind of fun - it would go through ANYTHING. We could lock the throttle at full open to maintain our top speed of about 47 MPH. I hate that we sold it after we left high school!
