Hey guys I’ve installed a 3/1.5 leveling kit on my 19CM. Immediately I’ve noticed a little axle wrap. Before I spend $200 bucks on something. Are these any good? And will shackles get rid of the axle wrap? Thanks in advance.

I have been ruining those and they are very well built. You have to reuse your factory bolts. Just knock them out with a hammer. They are a nice shackle. Look into reply your leaf spring bushings while you have it apart

pretty sure I used the 1.5” shackle though

I saw that on there site about the bolts. I’ve only got 7200 miles on mine so I should be all set with bushings.

How did you discover the axle wrap? I know larger blocks in the rear end can potentially cause it, but I have never heard of anyone having it with a 3/1.5 setup. I ran a 3/2 without issues. I'm not doubting you by any means at all. I'm asking for more of a learning opportunity for all of us on here. :hattip:

Tundra234 I believe the reason is the blocks I put in are not tapered at all. I’ve never had this problem in the 7200 miles I’ve put on this truck (brand new) until today after installing and lining it up. Another guy who does lifts as a job suggested shimming my carrier with around 1/2” of shims.

Yes the non-tapered blocks could be the issue. What kit is it? The carrier bearing spacer will adjust the drive angle, but the common cause of needing it is for vibrations when accelerating froma dead stop. Coachbuilder spacers are like $13 bucks or so. I have them in mine. I have some Readylift 2 inch tapered blocks sitting on my garage floor. I went from the Readylift 3/2 to Toytec coilovers and shackles.

That’s what I’m getting is a slight vibration from a dead stop. What’s you get a about 20 mph or so if you get aggressive with the throttle I don’t notice it. I can’t remember the kit. It was something I got from a local shop. It’s a nice billit aluminum kit. SPC or something like that.

So I would order the carrier bearing drop kit from toytec....its a 2 aluminum spacers that toytec sells for 12 bucks. You reuse factory bolts and can be installed in under 15 minutes.

Just ordered them. So once you put these your vibration went away?

How thick are those shims? 1/4” or 1/2”?

They are 1/2 inch and used for rear lift up to 2 inches. They fit with the stock bolts as well.

Im so close to pulling the trigger on the bilstein 6112/5160. And buying CB shackles. Getting a vibration and tires wearing out. With my 3/2 ready lift. Would the carrier drop fix it all? Besides the front tire wear?

I did this setup at 3in with SPC UCA'S, CB front spacers, random Amazon diff drop a,nd CB carrier bearing drop, with CB +3 shackles.

Still have vibrations. But I also had it stock some how also. Ymmv.

LOVE the ride, handling, and stance now. Totally worth all the money and work it took to do it.

your front tire wear is due to poor alignment with the 3 inch lift. You need upper control arms

You still had vibrations? In the rear or front? My kids carseats shake like crazy when there not in the truck with me. More at certain speeds.

i just bought the whole setup minus the UCAs. New tires at the end of week.

Look up alignment specs on this site. Toyota “spec” isn’t ideal
