More frequent trips to the gas pump.....:) My stone stock '07 has been trouble free for 14 years (72K). Keep up with maintenance and enjoy.

Congrats and welcome from LA (Lower Alabama)! Find out all you can about previous maintenance and get it caught up if necessary. That's nice low mileage for a 9 year old truck. The first major maintenance mileage has not even been reached yet.

Welcome from NC. Only things I can think of are to watch out for rust and use a rust preventative (crc and fluidfilm inside the frame is what I'm using) if you are in situations that would promote rust. And make sure you are aware of the maintenance schedule which includes greasing the driveline in several points which may be new to you (as it was to me) if you come from a background other than trucks.

Thanks everyone. Yes, I have already noticed it doesn’t like to pass a gas station. But didn’t buy it to save on gas lol. I am sitting in it right now just got done putting new seat covers on and I hear a low growling noise for behind the glove box? What the hell is that?

One thing with my tundra when I bought it, it was leaking coolant. Couldn’t find a leak anywhere along the pipes or the radiator. These trucks have a water pump that slowly leaks overtime instead of outright failing. And it’s dead center in the front of the engine so very hard to inspect or find the drip. A shop/dealer will charge you like 1000-1500 to replace it. Parts are about 200$ on Amazon.

Ok I’ll have to have that inspected. I have no clue about this truck. It was very well taken care of but I’ve always had Ford. Thinking of purchasing one of those extended warranty’s.

Cam tower leakage was a big issue also on our trucks. There are many threads on this and the other forums. Can cause your truck to burn a lot of oil. Expensive to fix as well. Just google “tundra cam tower leak”
