First Gen Newbie

Hello all,

I recently was in the market to purchase a new truck and was about to buy a new F-150 for towing purposes, the new 3.5L EcoBoost was impressive! However, that was not an immediate need and I came across an '01 Access Cab 4x4 Limited. I went and test drove it and really wanted to not like it due to the high mileage (309xxx), but it ran so smooth.

I did a quick search on issues with first gen Tundra's and found that the thermostat, timing belt, water pump, and rust on the frame were all common issues! All of those components had recently been changed and there was no rust on the frame.

I've been scouring the forums for the past two weeks anticipating what my first upgrades are going to be and have narrowed it down to new tires, lift, and remote start. I'm excited to get started and am thankful for finding this forum.
