Hey folks, figured I'd share my LEDs in here. 2006 with factory fogs and DRL. I got my bulbs from superbrightleds.com they are where I've purchased my LED bulbs/bars for years and I've always been happy with the product and quality. I did projector retrofits in my last truck and it cost me just over $300. I did this for half the price and love the results so far. I did not have to use any resistors, and everything works like it's supposed it. Literally plug and play. Onto the pictures!

You still happy with these? I’m looking at getting these for my truck. Did you purchase new housings? Yours look super clean.

    Thanks!

I’m also interested in hearing an update on this.

I’m not finding a lot of good feedback on LEDs in stock first gen housings. I know there are issues with bad glare and such putting LEDs in a halogen headlight, but what is the consensus on doing it in the Tundra?
I put LEDs in my T100 stock headlight and it worked fine, I even had my wife drive towards me at night in her car to see if the glare was bad, and it wasn’t a problem, never had anyone flash me either.

Anyone who’s done this to their gen 1 Tundra have any feedback?

I had LED’s in mine but they weren’t the same quality as the OP. The ones in my truck were definitely installed upside down which messed up the high and low beam.

I think the biggest thing is to get the LED bulbs that have the high beam located in the right spot so it focuses the light in the correct spot on the reflector for a proper high beam. I believe There is also a little shield that makes sure the low beam doesn’t blind people.

Looks like the bulbs from superbrightleds do both of those things which is why the OPs lights look so good and focused.

I recently got super bright led ones for my headlights, but had to order and install a resistor on one side for it to work... Now I'm just trying to figure out where and how best to mount the resistor...

I recently installed new headlight and turn signal lights... https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B016EBK2Z6?ie=UTF8

    with https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07XP2XJMS?ie=UTF8 Hikari LED lights.

The headlight setup was destroyed with the oxidation of the plastic. What's with Toyota and oxidation? Next I have to deal with the clear coat peeling.

It works fantastic and I haven't had to mount a resistor. I also unhooked the "always on" running lights by following this youtube video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZGovqqFeRzQ

It took 8 minutes to watch the video and 5 minutes to unplug wires... too easy.

I also added LED backup lights and that has helped immensely.
