I have been getting 7.8 mpg with my 2005 toyota tundra I don't drive it on the road more than about 30 miles of the tank all off road but still 7.8 mpg seems low thinking about changing the spark plugs any other Ideas or is this normal

Wrong forum bud, this is for people that went on road trips and writing about it. To answer your qestion, yes, it is very low, about half of what you should be getting.

Plugs, maf clean, air filter, pcv, clean the throttle body, and depending on mileage replace the oxygen sensors.

Does it spend a lot of time idling? Seems very very low.
