Does anyone have any tips/tricks or good information that is Tundra specific for fiberglass fender and bedside installation? I’m leaning heavily toward doing it myself but if being honest, I have no clue where to start with the bedsides. I’m pretty confident I can handle the fenders, but the bedsides intimidate me a little.

FWIW I have a 2014 CM. Also I was looking at ADV Fiberglass. Their fenders are a little different since it’s all one solid piece rather than having the extra panel under the headlights.

Did you ever end up doing this install? I can't believe not even one person posted anything back.

No I still haven’t followed through on it. I did find a good deal on ADV fenders but they’ve been collecting dust for a few months. I’ve been super busy with traveling for work. One day I’m gunna put it all together haha

Any recommendations on minimizing the "wobbly"? Read some where about spraying bed liner on the inside

Its only wobbly because he lost a support rod in the corner. I was just giving him shit. They're stronger than stock steel fenders when in stalled right

I'm clear, I'm just not trying to spend 2k or whatever it would cost to have a shop install these. I'm not worried about install on the front... just worried about the bedside

The bedsides are more difficult than the front. But if you can do the front you can do the rear. ADV has some good instructions for you to follow

I’m going to make a thread specific to how to install bed sides... it’s in my build thread but I’ll make a separate one

I'll have to go check it out. There isn't really anything good, or at all for our trucks.

Thats ridiculous. Better to just DIY. It'd still be cheaper to mess up a set for practice and replace it than pay for an install.

Yep! Fronts aren’t too bad to install. It’s the bedsides that I’m worried about but, I’m ready to do some chopping :sawzall:

They could have a carbon fiber skin and still be cheaper. Paint is not that difficult.

    Just seeeeennnd iiiitttt

I've seen plenty of rattle-can jobs that look pretty good. Although if had the carbon fiber glass, I'd just leave it. Looks gnarly as is.

I mean a proper gun and auto paint.... It's super easy and if ya screw up, let it dry, sand it and hit it again. My front fenders were used and a bit banged up, spider cracked etc. They're getting a layer of carbon. Then I'll shoot automotive clear over it to help keep the epoxy from yellowing/ sunburn. I don't have bedsides yet but may go the same route.
