So I just picked up a 16 TRD off road recently and was wondering if this extra layer of paint at the bottom of the doors is normal? It looks very well done like from the factory to maybe protect against rock chips on the underside, I also have the protective film covering the same amount of the bottom sections around the rest of the truck as well.

It’s normal. I’ve had it on all my Tundras and Tacomas.

Thanks guys, just making sure it’s not some hidden flood damage or something
