any suggestions on an exhaust? Originally was gonna go with dirty dead’s standard dump, but the great communist state of ny does a visual inspection of the muffler so they are out unfortunately. I had a magnaflow dump on my taco. I’m looking for a deep grumble sound I don’t mind to loud or obnoxious that’s what speakers and subs are for lol

I worked the trd exhaust into my deal. Love the way it sounds but maybe it isnt aggressive enough and some aftermarket options maybe more cost effective. I didnt want something that drones. The trd exhaust actually sounds more aggressive than I expected for a oem exhaust system at first i was actually a little worried it would be too much but i find it has just the perfect balance and when you get on it, it really sounds good.

Another vote for TRD. Especially if ruling out DD. Sounds great, easy install, will pass all inspection.

I wonder if @dirtydeeds could build a dump that looked like it had a muffler .... it is just a visual inspection :spy:

Nah I wanted a dump and his dumps are straight pipes only which is illegal in ny and they do a visual inspection on the muffler, during yearly vehicle inspections. If he could make the illusion of a muffler on his dump for my inspection purposes I’d be down

Pretty sure @dirtydeeds can make that. Also he makes an exhaust with a muffler and a dump. You just disconnect your tail pipe and put on the dump piece instead. Or you could just order the standard 6 inch or 8 inch system and cut the tail pipe off. It will be a dump just over the axle. He can custom make anything within reason that will fit.

Yeah he’s a busy man but if you call him he will either answer or get back to you. He is active on a few forums so he doesn’t always have time to be responding via the Internet. He builds the exhaust himself with a few employees. Great knowledgeable guy.
