I have the Entune JBL system, and for whatever reason it's only showing a fraction of the songs I have on a USB. I know there is a restriction of 9999 songs, and I think 200 or so per folder? Either way, it isn't even close to that.

For what it's worth, USB is probably the best sounding source on these crappy systems that I've found.

    Thanks!

Ugh, I can't stand this system, especially knowing how good my 2008 system was. How the hell do they go backwards in quality?

It may be as simple as formatting usb a certain way. I would try exfat, and ntsf. See if more files are recognized.

I had similar problems with USB and entune. Sometimes it worked, other times it would go completely haywire. It was a large part of my motivation to upgrade the HU.

Just curious, what did you upgrade to? Were you able to keep all of the same functions need to work with the truck? Thanks!

formatting would be the first step (mine is in FAT32), then create folders with 100-150 files in them, it should work.

    New:
    - Gauges (RPM, speed etc)

    Kept:
    - Some of the vehicle customization options (chimes etc)
    - Steering controls

    Missing:
    - The live "mileage" readout. However similar data is still visible in the small multi-function display in the middle of the dash

Overall functionality is about the same.

I bought a usb at the costco near me. It s called sandisk extreme portable ssd. It s a 1 TB USB type C drive with a type 3 adaptor. I have bout 27 Gb of music in several folders, and my kenwood excellon recognizes all of the songs. I can navigate the different folders by tapping flyout menus and tapping a folder + or folder- icon, then another flyout that scrolls through the selected folder. These drives are awesome, and fast as anything I ve seen.
