Hi everyone Just wanted to post an update. So I got my engine replaced 1 year ago, I have put about 8k miles zero issues. I had zero issues with the old engine as well. I love my truck and I hope everyone has theirs for a long time. I just payed off mine and im planning on keeping it for a long time. With these new prices, trucks are insanely expensive. I have faith toyota will fix the issue this year and they have treated me good. Unlike GM with their 6.2 where you have to get it inspected and see if you need a new engine, toyota zero questions and boom
    new engine.

Surprised you replaced the old motor without experiencing any issues. I would have kept that in the back pocket for when it’s needed

@TRD4meeee I did think about that but the reason I did it because of all the supply chain issues that were going or would be going on. I have read post of people waiting weeks/months.

fair point. From what I have gathered the dealer plays a huge role in overall experience with replacement. Obviously not all service departments have the same mechanics so some are naturally way better than others.

the other part is if the dealer actually has the motor or not. I hear people saying the process is 4-7 days from dropping off to picking up and some people claiming their truck has been at the dealership for over a month. It really seems the whole thing depends on how well the dealership handles things

I had mine replaced this past January at just under 33k miles. I had no issues with the first motor. I did do an initial oil change on the first motor at 1300 miles, again at 5000, and every 5000 thereafter. The dealer had my truck for a week, and gave me a Tundra with a higher trim level than mine to drive. Just over 36k miles now. No issues.

Huh, I thought we had to wait until it blew up.

Although now that I check, it says "Remedy Not Available" for 25TA14 (Interim Notice 25TB14) (which is what applies to my '23 according to Toyota).

I'm still at just under 20,000 miles on this truck.
