    Hi there,

I'm wondering if anyone knows the typical end of year pricing/discount rates that Toyota historically offers?

For example, Lexus has "December to remember deals".

Currently Toyota is offering anywhere from 3.9% to 0.9% financing, even 0.0% for the Prius prime.

I'm not sure if it's worth while to wait for the end of the year to purchase a car/truck this year because of the chip shortage as well as the Tundra being a new truck released.

    Thanks in advance.

In Canada they normally offer $10k off starting in August or September but, given that there are no new vehicles on the lots right now, I doubt you'll be able to swing that. They also tend to wait to offer that until all they have left is the over priced top trims.

I wanted a faster vehicle so I also bought a Chevy SS... because 4 door sedans with big V8’s are hilarious.
I wouldn’t count on any deals this year at all, maybe some financing… maybe.

seeing as that dealerships are marking up everything over MSRP i doubt theres gonna be any deals to be had for Tundras.

Mine was $8k but it was for Cash only.

Luckily they still had an SR5, which is what we were after.

This was in 2019. Don't see any deals happening this year

The dirtbags at the dealership closest to me wanted me to buy a 2019 Platinum because at $10k off, it was "only" $55k. So I went across town and paid $45k ($8k off) for my truck.

Do maintenance on your current rig. Drive it a few more years. If it’s paid off or about to be paid off enjoy that extra discretionary income, and when 2023 rolls around assess if you still want a new vehicle.

Honestly, I wouldn’t even touch trying to buy a truck right now. Be prepared to be ripped off. I would only contemplate selling if I no longer needed a truck. And I still need my truck. It’s definitely a sellers market right now.

When I picked up my CM, all they had on the lot was rear wheel drive Tundras. When November/December rolls around there will be even less selection available, so if you see what you want grab it as it probably won't be there for "Toyotathon".

Best you can do now is order or put a hold on a new CC tacoma low trims here in south florida for 4x4s and pay msrp and 3.5apr. There are some fancy trim tacos on the lots but not much. Toyota isn't playing the markup game here and in turn aren't overpaying for trade in either. There are some 4.6 tundra 4x4s available with low miles but why bother with that.

Hardly any new Tacos, Tundras, 4Runners, or Highlanders in my area. I was speaking with the SA who sold me my most recent Tundra and he said almost everything is selling while it's still in transit. It really is a terrible time to be a buyer.

Not trying to be mean but have you been living under a rock? Car dealers haven't had vehicles for almost 2 years. Demand high and supply shortage means less incentives. (Toyota isn't like for FORD and GM throwing out all incentives).

Absolutely not. Bought my 21 crew 4x4 and my local dealer wasn’t even advertising Labor Day sales. They have no inventory, no deals, no wiggle room. Long gone are the days of haggling back and forth.
My wife and I bought a charger last month. While sitting there doing the transaction I watched a couple try to haggle over a Jeep renegade. Finallly the sales guy asked if they were going to buy it, they said no. He stood up, took the keys to the table on the other side of us and handed them to another sales lady. The people she was with immediately bought it. The look on the 1st couples face…priceless.
