Why do you take better care of your truck than your husband does? Seems a little bass ackwards to me.

It's my truck that's why I take care of it. He had the nice truck before the military and now he's got a beat up Tahoe and a nice Harley that he takes care of.

Bye bye chrome! Removed all the chrome badges and replaced them with black badges (except the SR5). Also added TUNDRA inlay. Also added a Bakflip HD bed cover.

Emily, I like your stubby and the ones I find online all say they fade to red. Since you liked yours enough to buy two, what brand did you get? Aldo, your build is EXACTLY what I'm trying to do. You got a head start but I'll try to catch you ;)

Well it will be even longer before i get my lift, wheels, and tires now. I will being going TDY for 6 months later this year, so besides getting the bumpers powder coated and adding step sides, it will be next year before the lift, rims, and tires :angrygirl:

Yes I'm going with white. Honestly when I started this it was 0115 Friday morning. Had planned to start it after I got off shift but of course a domestic happened at shift change so I didn't get home til 0100. I had planned to get all 4 chrome caps to the powder coating place on Friday but that didn't happen. So I'm dropping them off tomorrow. I hopefully took enough pics to remind myself where everything goes. On the front I wasn't planning on taking the middle plastic piece off but seeing as how Toyota didn't screw the bottom of it back into my skid plate like they were suppose to the last time I got my oil changed, it kinda came off with one of the caps. But that should make it easier putting everything back on. O and a side note....I'm a girl so I have smaller hands than y'all (guys) but decent hands for a girl and had a hell of a time getting to some of the bolts that I needed to get too. If you don't want to take them off personally, you could take it to a body shop and have them remove them for a little $$$.
Anyways yeah I don't think I'll be able to post a write up about it but I can sure tell you it's a pain in the ass :frusty:

I'm jealous. I have been avoiding getting my end caps PC'd because I am dreading the removal. I feel like I have no time for anything anymore. Good job getting to it, especially at 0115 haha.. Can't wait to see them installed.

Holy Shit!!! Such a pain in the ass putting everything back on! FYI you can't put the bumper back on as a whole just doesn't work without breaking or scratching something. But so happy I finally got rid of all the chrome!!! I will be driving this truck til it dies which won't be anytime soon! Feels so good to have put the work in but I doubt I will ever do it again lol If you don't want to deal with taking them on/off you can always take it to a body shop and have them take off or put on. I will post more pics later but it's only going to be a couple pics of where certain bolts go on.

Well of course the Stealth running boards I ordered came damaged. Before I even unpackaged them completely one of the end caps was cracked. Called and had a new one on the way. (why i didn't fully check them the first day i have no effffffing clue) The next day I open them completely and found the other end was damaged....and the center of the running board was damaged as well. So I called the place I ordered them and just said I wanted a refund. Now I'm without running boards....what to do what to do. :frusty:
