I'm looking at taking the wife and kid out Saturday morning for some light off roading. Anyone have recommendations for some easy trails/dirt roads in the East end of the valley, or even something south towards Casa Grande? I'm running stock SR5 TRD off road, so definitely not looking to rock crawl... Just get a little mud or dust on the truck. Thanks!

Have you considered joining Arizona Tundras Group on facebook? A very active group. Probably would get your answer much sooner there for AZ specifics.

I'd be interested, but don't use facebook. Sounds like that's where the majority of their info resides.

There is a "tundras to sedona" run coming up that sounds like fun. Google it and there is a registration page if interested.

I'm in the group, but not the biggest fan of FB. It's also an interesting spread of people in there... I assume becuase it's Facebook.

That's why my buddy suggested and what I'll probably end up doing. I'm in South Chandler so I was just hoping to find somewhere down my way a little bit.

Its NE Valley but Sycamore Creek has all different types of trails. When heading North on the Beeline Hwy from Fort McDowell take your first left after Saguaro Lake turn off. Man i miss the Christmas Tree burning party. Theres Table Mesa Rd off the I17 too. Not too familiar with the SE valley though

There are some more... colorful? ....personalities in the group. But it is a good place for local info, suggestions and they hold trail runs quite often.

There isnt much south toward Coolidge it's either indian land or agricultural. I run my bird dogs down in Coolidge/Florence area. We hunt there for dove. I also train my dogs and guide for a pheasant farm hunting club down there from time to time. The hilly areas I believe are mostly indian lands. One other area to check out (cant recall the name of the area) but to get there take the 60 toward superior, take the 79 south and then a few miles down there are multiple entrances to the east and roads that lead back to the old coke ovens, south of queen valley. If coming from Chandler might be able to hop on Arizona Farms rd east then north on 79 for a ways...cottonwood canyon rd I think is one of the main unpaved roads that lead back to the hills there.

Agreed! there are definitely some decent trails of differing off road complexity at the four peaks area!

It's not just a run. T2S is a weekend camping extravaganza that is fun for the whole family.

Sounds like a good time. Need to see if I can make it up there even if only for part of the time.

2.5" ADS coilovers. 35x12.50 tires. ARE Z series cap.
Bunch of decent trails south of Casa Grande. Get off of I-10 at exit 200 (Sundland Gin Road) and go south about 12 miles where the road will make a 90 degree right turn and turn into sagitarius road. You can go straight across the canal onto the dirt road and wander all day around the hills and the west silverbell mountains. You can ride the wooden pole line east into the Ironwood Forest monument and come out near Marana.
