    I just hear Dixie in my head! I am a Dukes of Hazzard fan through and through. I would’ve loved to witness this. It’s too bad they had to give their lives for stupidity though. There is a lot of calculation that goes into the stunts that we’re on that show and any other type of car jumping. You can’t just look at it and be like yeah 80 mph let’s go!

    This story has me perplexed. :notsure: I'm very familiar with that area of Calcasieu Parish La. and both bridges that go over Black Bayou are swing out type, not the kind that raise up. I know it was 2am but what were they smoking to think they could jump it? I'm thinking they tried to get across it while it was swinging open and drove straight into the water on the other side.

    Not to mentioned that most of those cars that got airborne didn't survive. Even the Bandit's TA, you can see the rear end drop out when they hit.
